Our trajectory has certainly been a long and horizon-spanning one. Arthur Zeesman got things rolling in 1990, opening ZEESMAN an advertising agency specializing in travel, tourism and hospitality. And with clients like the Indonesian Tourism Board, Conrad Hotels and the Tourism Commissions of South Australia and New South Wales, it wasn’t always easy to keep our heads out of the clouds (or the crystal-clear waters).
Ten years in, Bonnie Nijst joined the company and wasted no time in diversifying the client base. Soon, it included corporate, government and nonprofit organizations like Los Angeles World Airports, Rock the Vote, Griffith Observatory, University of Southern California, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, American Express, Panasonic, Warner Bros. and on and on. And on.
By 2003, Bonnie was majority owner, president and CEO, and ZEESMAN was a certified minority- and woman-owned business enterprise (MWBE). And in 2013, the City of Los Angeles and the Minority Business Development Agency named us Professional Services Firm of the Year.
Now, here we are in 2018. Wiser. Leaner. But still curious. And always moving. Somewhere along the line, we morphed into a branding and marketing firm, so we still have our hands in advertising. But our perspective and capabilities — like the industries we serve — continue to expand. And we can’t wait to find out where we’re going next.
