Zeesman Recognized with 11 Marketing and Design Awards
International recognition underscores the firm's commitment to using design as a strategic communications tool to drive clients' success.
BEVERLY HILLS, CALIF. - FEBRUARY 12, 2008 - Zeesman Communications, Inc., Los Angeles' leading strategic creative communications firm, has been recognized with 11 design awards from the world's most renowned professional design competitions, The American Graphic Design Awards, The International Davey Awards, The MarCom Awards and The Creativity Annual Awards. The recognition underscores the firm's ability to mesh keen insight and exceptional design to clearly and successfully communicate its clients' brand messages.
"Good design stems from a solid foundation of strategy gleaned from working with savvy marketing professionals who have a clear vision of the outcome a project must deliver," said Zeesman President and CEO Bonnie Nijst. "These awards are a tribute not only to our team, but to those who trust us with their brands and understand how design can act as a bridge to their constituencies."
The 11 awards were based on work completed for both clients and the firm's own strategic communications vehicles including the Strategic Counsel Corporate Brochure and Resolutions Book, the W. M. Keck Foundation's "Transitions" Direct Mail, NAWBO-LA's Installation Invitation and Legacy Society Brochure, and the firm's own website, www.zeesman.com.
"Strategic Counsel presented a unique challenge for Zeesman Communications as our firm blends legal expertise with deep public policy insight and strategic communications to shepherd clients through the political maze and deliver results needed for success," said Strategic Counsel Managing Partner Cynthia McClain-Hill. "Zeesman's team demonstrated a deep understanding of our business and vision and created vital communications tools that express our expertise and unique approach to the work we do on behalf of our clients."
The Strategic Counsel Corporate Brochure received the 2007 American Graphic Design Award, the 2007 MarCom Award - Platinum, and the 2007 International Davey Award - Silver, and the Resolutions Book received the 2007 American Graphic Design Award.
"The Transitions direct mail piece designed by Zeesman was one of the most effective communications tools we used in 2007," said Stacy Mercado, formerly Director of Operations and now a consultant to the W. M. Keck Foundation. "The piece clearly articulated our message of change and attracted a response well-exceeding our expectations."
Zeesman's work on the W. M. Keck Foundation's "Transitions" direct mail won the 2007 International Davey Award - Gold, 2007 MarCom Award - Gold, and Creativity 37 Award. The W. M. Keck Foundation, established in 1954 in Los Angeles by William Myron Keck, founder of The Superior Oil Company, is one of the nation's largest philanthropic organizations.
For NAWBO-LA, the Los Angeles chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), the firm received the 2007 American Graphic Design Award for its work on the Installation Invitation and 2007 International Davey Award - Silver for the NAWBO-LA Legacy Society Brochure. NAWBO, a well-respected national membership organization of women business owners with 8,000 members in 80 chapters, is the quintessential voice of women entrepreneurs in the United States.
"Zeesman Communications could not be more deserving of these awards," said Helen Han, CEO of NAWBO-LA. "Their work for our organization effectively reached not only our members, but the greater Los Angeles business community with a message about the growing influence of women business owners and their commitment to giving back to the next generation of entrepreneurs."
In addition, Zeesman Communications received the 2007 American Graphic Design Award and the 2007 International Davey Award - Silver for its own, newly designed website.
